Accessible Events Organising and Research

*** Since putting together the documents below Sisters of Frida have produced an Accessibility Guide to Meetings and Events which has drawn on some of the below, but has loads of other stuff as well – I highly recommended it! ***

Having organised a few events and conferences now, as well as planning and conducting research projects which have aimed to have ‘access’ at their heart (see the page on my Research Interests and Projects), I have put together two documents:

I’d consider them both to be ‘working documents’ and would appreciate any feedback. The first one is the most comprehensive (and designed, probably, to be dipped in and out of). The second was designed to deliver a session around ‘inclusive/accessible’ research to deliver to researchers at my university. It mainly contains a few ideas and tips for the basics of accessible research. Click on the links above to view the documents.
