PhD Supervision

I am interested in supervising qualitative projects focusing on Disability Studies, gender, sexuality and the body.

I currently supervise four PhD students:

  • Daisy Marshall: How are gendered constructions of ‘masculine’ sexualities constituted and addressed within schooling?

  • Katherine Terrell: Bodies in space, signs in space: Deaf and disabled children’s embodied experiences of education

  • Karen Tobias-Green: Narratives of an art institution: the writing experiences of students with dyslexia

  • Stephanie Swain: Disabled peoples’ conceptualisation and experiences of self-harm
